Letter from one of my piglets "Wiglet"

Dear Mother Joyce:

Hi!  I hope you are well and not missing adorable little me too much.

My Mama eventually got over the shock of holding her very own piglet and her maternal instincts kicked in.  I love my new home.  Mama and the Chihuahuas played with me all day.  I went wee once in the litter, ate some new food mixed with yours (it is delicious--yum) romped, and strutted about the place.  I finally took a nap in Mama's arms.  She is enchanted when my snout twitches as I dream.  She is deeply in love with me already, and I plan on wrapping her around my little hoof.  (She can stick all her pig training books up her you-know-what.)  I let out some unusual high-pitched squeals when she leaves my sight.  She knows not to spoil me too badly, though.  I am accepting my dad also, but I am a Mama's boy, so there.

The little dogs are such fun!  They adjusted to me much faster than Mama could have hoped.  It is my charismatic personality, of course.  I rooted in the baby blankets in my crate and made myself a comfortable nest, but I hop right out and grunt when Mama returns.  I let her kiss my snout to give her a thrill, and she is overjoyed.

Mama said to thank you from the bottom of her heart.  She is happier than she has been in a long time.  She is thrilled that I am so socialized and attached to her already (I know what side my bread is buttered on--tee hee.)  I fit in the family as if I were always here.  When I get older, I plan on joining Bruno and Divina in Mama's bed at night.  I deserve it, right?

Please do not forget about me or Mama.  You earned a deep place in her heart and she is so grateful for your friendship.  She would like very much to remain a part of your life.

Love, oink, grunt, and squeal,

Wiglet

Dear Joyce:

Please recall that we are the family that bought a pocket pig from you and met your daughter in Montgomery to pick him up.
I thought you might like to see a picture of Ernie to see how healthy he looks and how well he is doing.  This is a picture of him with our pet cat that was taken yesterday.
I must say that Ernie is probably one of the best pets that we have ever had.  He follows my children around like a puppy and even rolls over to have his belly scratched.
He is also extremely smart.  I find myself constantly amazed at the little things he does that tells me that he is really thinking and using problem-solving skills.  Thank you
for a great pet.  I hope you are doing well.

Sincerely,
M.C.

Hi Joyce

I'm so glad to hear from you.

J.D weighs 26 lbs. now.  (Jimmy Dean is a miniature)

He was Neutered on April 23 at the Audobon Animal Clinic in Clarksburg, WV.  He did great & the staff loved him, although they treat Piggies they don't see very many.  I also have a local Vet. that makes house calls, she came and checked him out when he first got here.  He was checked for parasites by his home visit Vet. and the Audobon Hospital weeks apart and came back clean both times.

He is the Master of the Litter Box, he will be 6 Months old Friday and he has only had 2 accidents in the house and they were my fault for moving the box without notifying him.

We have bought him every safe toy we can find, he like toys in the 3 year toddler range.

He sleeps with me and lays at my front with his head on the pillow most of the time.  But during the day when he takes Naps he likes to lay on a pillow with a pillow on top of him. His home plate is the Couch..

He's very Smart, he went through a stage of carrying things around, it was soo funny.  Everytime he finished eating he would bring me his empty bowl.  If I sat down he brought everything he could find and layed it at my feet.

He only eats food from Heartland and he eats 2 big salads everyday and only drinks sterilized / distilled water.  The only vegetable he hates is Green Pepper - for some reason if I give him a piece he chews it while making a face then spits it out and screws it into the carpet with his nose???? (that's my boy)

He actually has his own bedroom with a full size platform bed with Memory foam Mattress it's only 13" tall.

We just bought new furniture for the whole house because we wanted furniture low enough for J.D. to get on & Off safely.

This little man only wants Love and attention, he wants to please.  I would never strike him for any reason but I took a rolled up magazine and hit the table or wall and say No or Don't when he did something he shouldn't - long story short it only took 2 days for him to simply stop doing whatever he's doing when you say No of Don't.
Every night I tell him "Lets go to bed", and for the past 4 days when I've said that he has went straight to the bed.
He seems to be learning what I'm saying and I'm not even realizing it.  I can think of 17 words he knows the meaning of.  At 6 Months...

I can't thank you enough, if the rest of your little piggies are anything like J.D your selling Love On Hoofs

I'm sorry I could talk about this little man all day.
I'm sending you a couple more pics and of course you have my permission to put them on a Web Page or just to Drool over him.

Hello,

This is a reference for Joyce Wells. We are new pig breeders in Northeastern PA. We spent the last year researching miniature pig breeding, and our dealings with Joyce have been instrumental in our venture. She has always been open to talking to us and is very responsive to any question we may have, We know Joyce to be honest, helpful, knowledgeable, and professional.  In our search, nation-wide, for high quality miniature pig stock, we have been more than happy with the breeding pair of registered miniature pot-bellied pigs we purchased from her last winter. Joyce keeps a reliable record of the breeding lines of her stock and is always willing to share the information we request. We are currently purchasing another micro-miniature  breeding boar from her, because we have trust in the quality of her animals, and our goal is to maintain that quality.

We are very appreciative of our professional relationship with Joyce and would surely recommend her to anyone interested in miniature pigs.
